An owner of a mobile home lost all her belongings and her residence Saturday afternoon when her RV caught fire and was completely destroyed, San Diego fire officials said.

San Diego Fire Department Battalion Chief David Pilkerton said it was unclear how many people were living in the RV, which was parked on Ocean View Boulevard between 46th and 47th streets when the fire broke out around 1:22 p.m.

Pilkerton said fire officials called the American Red Cross because at least one person, the owner, was living in the vehicle, which was completely destroyed by the fire.

The owner of the RV was not injured in the fire, but she was taken by ambulance to a hospital with a medical emergency. The cause of the fire was unknown, fire officials said.
